Artists Bio:

Hello Everyone! My name is Michaela Cross, or some of you might know me as Mikey. I have always enjoyed making art, but my creative side didn’t really bloom until my second year of college. After I transferred to Colorado Mesa University (Go Mavs!) from the University of Northern Colorado, I focussed in on my fine arts degree. I fell in love with painting in acrylic and watercolor and that’s where I really found myself. I love all animals, the outdoors and especially my pug, Frank! When I’m not in my home art studio, you can find me outside, or spending quality time with my friends and family!

Theme Description:

I wanted to bring the elements to life and interact with each other like they would in nature. Water gives life to the earth and helps everything grow and it also brings relief when something is ablaze. Even through the ashes, life is reborn. The earth is the center of all things but each element works together to make it whole. One cannot be without the other, we all coexist and we all balance each other.

“…find things beautiful as much as you can, most people find too little beautiful.”
– Vincent Van Gogh
